True or False: Gum Stays in Your Stomach for Seven Years

As our Understanding Understanding Project, our group investigated whether or not people understood the digestive process. Our lead question in the interviews asked the participants about the common misconception that swallowed gum stays in your stomach for seven years.  Our goal was to evaluate our subjects' understanding of the digestive process.
